New Student Visa

After receiving the official Letter of Acceptance, apply for a Study Visa (VITAS, index D2) at the nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate before departure, using the acceptance letter and sponsorship letter issued by the program.
Once the visa is granted and you arrive in Indonesia, the program’s international office will assist in converting it into a Limited Stay Permit (KITAS) at the local Immigration Office within 30 days of arrival.
Keep both your passport and KITAS valid for the full duration of your studies — the program will notify you before any renewal deadline.

A student KITAS is generally valid for one year and must be extended before it expires for as long as you remain enrolled.
Extensions are coordinated through the program’s international office together with the campus immigration liaison, typically starting 30–45 days before expiry.
Make sure your enrollment status and tuition payments are up to date, as these are required for the extension application.

Can my spouse or children join me in Indonesia?

Yes. Once your student KITAS is issued, your spouse and children can apply for a dependent KITAS (index 317) through the same process.

How early should I apply for my visa before arrival?

We recommend applying at least 6–8 weeks before your planned arrival date.
