History
The Doctoral Program in Legal Science (PDIH) of Unissula was established in 2012 under the Faculty of Law of Sultan Agung Islamic University, Semarang. In 2018, PDIH Unissula made history as the first doctoral programme in legal science at a private university (PTS) in Indonesia to earn an A accreditation — today carrying the Excellent (Unggul) rating.

Founding (2012)
The first cohort began classes on 10 November 2012 with 25 students drawn from legal practitioners, judges, prosecutors, police officers, and academics.

A Accreditation (2018)
The first doctoral programme in legal science at a private university in Indonesia to receive an A accreditation from BAN-PT.

International Accreditation (ASIC)
Earned international recognition with the Premier rating from the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC).

Public Trust & Scholarships
Entrusted with managing government scholarship programmes such as LPDP, BPI, and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, as well as scholarships from various national corporations.
