PDIH UNISSULA Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation with Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Sharia and Law

Cairo, July 31, 2025 – The Head of the Doctoral Program in Law (PDIH) at UNISSULA's Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Anis Masdurohatun, S.H., M.Hum., strengthened and established bilateral cooperation with the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. The activity was a strategic step in expanding the program's international academic network and fostering institutional ties between UNISSULA and one of Egypt's leading Islamic educational institutions. The event took place on July 31, 2025 as part of a series of academic activities at Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Sharia and Law. The meeting brought together academics from both institutions in a formal and open academic atmosphere, and served as a momentum to build communication and explore cooperation opportunities in education, research, and the development of legal and sharia scholarship. The atmosphere throughout the event was warm and full of academic enthusiasm. Prof. Dr. Anis Masdurohatun, together with academics and leaders of Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Sharia and Law, took part in the agenda. The moment of togetherness was also marked by the exchange of commemorative documents as a symbol of the increasingly close academic relationship between the two institutions. This cooperation is expected to become a foundation for developing bilateral academic collaboration between Indonesia and Egypt, particularly through knowledge exchange, joint research, scientific publications, and the development of international academic programs. For PDIH UNISSULA, the relationship with Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Sharia and Law is an important part of strengthening internationalization and increasing its contribution to legal scholarship at the global level.
